Flutist Eva Prchalová and organist Ondřej Valenta have been playing together as a duo since 2012, when they met while studying at the Prague Conservatory. They began by performing concerts in churches in smaller towns across the Czech Republic, in addition to purely school projects. In 2014 Šárka Petříková joined and the current trio was formed. Since then, the ensemble has also been performing larger-scale concerts, with a variety of sound colours coming from combinations of their instruments – flute, piccolo, violin and organ or harpsichord.
NiTrio’s repertoire consists of Baroque music in all its richness, as well as Classical, Romantic and 20th century music (e.g. B. Martinů). The ensemble is also no stranger to contemporary music.
